White jasmine flowers are very pretty and have a delicate scent. They produce a sweet scent, which is often used in essential oil forms to ensure relaxation. Research shows that this scent is related to improved sleep quality and reduced anxiety levels. These plants look lovely in bedrooms and are easy to care for in a pot. Place it on your windowsill during flowering periods and regularly water it. Avoid overwatering by allowing the soil to dry slightly during non-flowering periods.

2. Snake Plant: Best For Air Purification

Do snake plants help you sleep? Mother-in-law’s tongue (also known as the snake plant) is a natural air purifier. At night, it releases oxygen that makes sleep more comfortable. The air is also said to be purified from some hazardous chemicals such as xylene, trichloroethylene, toluene, benzene, and formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is commonly found in hairspray, which can cause respiratory problems. This plant is one that can be kept in the bedroom for this reason!

3. Valerian: Best Plant For Inducing Sleep

Thanks to its small pink and white flowers, a valerian plant will look lovely in your bedroom. In addition to their sweet scent, valerian plants have been used for centuries to treat sleep disorders, including insomnia. Several studies have shown that valerian root can induce sleep while improving sleep quality. Consider adding a few blossoms to your bath or taking a whiff before you go to bed if you are having trouble sleeping. Unlike most plants, these require at least six hours of sun a day, so place them in a bright window sill.

4. Lavender: For Deeper Sleep

Lavender is known all over the world as a great remedy for relaxation. Lavender is proven to lower blood pressure, heart rate, and stress levels, which is why it works well in the bedroom. You can get a good night’s sleep with the help of this plant. Researchers at the Miami Miller School of Medicine even found that bath oils containing lavender calmed babies, sent them to sleep, and reduced stress in mothers. Make sure your lavender grows in bright sunlight on a window sill and water it sparingly.

5. Peace Lily: Best For Increasing Humidity

NASA’s study of peace lilies shows that they are also fantastic air cleaners. An added benefit of peace lilies is that they can increase humidity in a room by up to 5%. Sleeping while there is more humidity is great for your respiratory system. Apartment Therapy says: ‘Low humidity causes static electricity, dry skin and hair, increased susceptibility to colds and respiratory illnesses, and can allow viruses and germs to thrive’. Unlike white lilies, peace lilies aren’t fussy and only need watering once a week – a great choice for bedrooms.

6. Golden Pothos: Best For Hanging Baskets

A plant whose leaves are crafted in the shape of a heart, it is also known as ‘Devil’s Ivy’. This plant is a great air purifier, just like the snake plant and peace lily. This plant can be a stunning feature in your bedroom if kept in a hanging basket because of the way it grows. You can place this on a windowsill instead of a plant pot if you have small children or pets around. Plants like these are extremely easy to maintain, and require only a weekly watering and a little sunlight.

7. Aloe Vera: Best For Improving Air Quality

Do snake plants help you sleep? Yes. But first,  let me introduce you to another plant that has similar qualities as the snake plant. Any home would benefit from having this plant around. During the night, the plant produces oxygen, so it will improve air quality in a bedroom like the others.

This plant is referred to as succulent since its leaves retain moisture very well. This leaf gel can be used to treat minor injuries, burns, and insect bites. Therefore, it is an excellent houseplant! If you want to keep your Aloe Vera plant healthy, keep it in a bright place. Do you have any plants in your bedroom? I’d love to hear for you! Maybe we can share each other stories about indoor gardening.
