Drip or trickle irrigation system is used in conjunction with careful variety selection, experience…
…and a number of other minor but important aspects. Crops that are drip irrigated grow better…
…and have fewer diseases than those that are either left to nature or watered from above.
In addition to having superior fruits and vegetables, you’ll waste a lot less water because…
…the water is sent straight to the root zone, where it is needed by the plants.
You can even use your drip system to add fertilizer. Drip irrigation is simple to set up…
…and components are available locally, online, or through a catalog. The design, building, operation…
…and after-season storage of a scaleable drip irrigation system are all covered in this publication.
To create an irrigation system, you must first create a garden plan….
Drip irrigation can be installed in almost any garden, including permanent raised beds…
This is Ellia’s problem…
As someone who love gardening and also an office worker at the same time my main problem…
…is sometimes I can not watering my plans on time. And there are no one that can cover me for that.
But thankfully the technology is so advance these days. Liker there is garden irrigation system…
…that allowed me to water it automatically.
Drip irrigation or trickle irrigation is a type of micro-irrigation system that has the potential to save water and nutrients by allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of plants, either from above the soil surface or buried below the surface. The goal is to place water directly into the root zone and minimize evaporation

The first irrigation system…
Bavnnro Dwc Hydroponic System

The unique design can provide a healthy root environment for plants, eliminate the negative effects…
…of soil operation, and completely meet the water, nutrition, mineral, and other growing environment…
…requirements of crops. The reservoir in this deep water culture bucket system delivers oxygen…
…and nutrient solutions to each bucket via tubes and hoses, allowing healthy root systems to develop faster.
The complete DWC system (size: 3.6ft * 3.6ft) fits comfortably into a 4Ă—4 foot grow tent, open area,,,
…inside the greenhouse, garden, balcony, office, garage, home, or basement, and works wonderfully…
…both indoors and outdoors. The DWC hydroponic system is the most efficient technique to use water…
…for plant growth when compared to traditional gardening. There is no other trash outside the garbage…
…generated in the production, and evaporation is minimal. Because the essential elements for growing…
…may be recycled, soilless cultivation has the benefits of saving water and labor.
- âś” The unique design can create a good root environment for plants, avoid the adverse factors of soil operation, and fully meet the needs of crops for water, nutrition, minerals and other growth environment.

Water Source
Irrigation can be done using any clean water supply. A particle filter is used in drip systems…
…to prevent clogging of the drippers (also known as emitters). However, if your water source contains…
…too much particle matter, this filter may clog. If the particles in the water are large enough…
…the extremely fine channels molded into the drip tape are prone to clogging. The drip tape regulates…
…water flow through these channels, which are an important aspect of your system. For a water source…
…the device illustrated here employs the same spigot as a garden hose. Larger output connections…
…are typically utilized in commercial irrigation systems, although even the largest home gardens…
…can be easily serviced by a normal hose spigot. Install a hose spigot before (between the well…
…or incoming water line) the softener to use for a water connection if you utilize a water softener…
…on your home water system. Water softeners use sodium-based salt instead of calcium…
…which is extremely hazardous to plants. This same advice applies if you have problems with your house plants…
…and use a water softener. Never use “softened” water to water your plants.
Parts of the System
- The hose bibb, filter assembly, and lateral or feeder lines are shown in this basic “H” distribution system.
- Assembly of the filter
- Drip tape is applied to quarter turn valves on the lateral lines.
- Drip tape connects lateral lines with a quarter turn valve. The valve is completely open. After utilizing the punch tool, this valve is forced into the lateral line.
- A row of looseleaf lettuce with drip tape running along it.
Getting the Plumbing Hardware
- A drip line’s end, with the drop visible “tape” was folded numerous times and held in place by a short length of 1″ tubing.
- The feeder line system was built with fittings. All of these are one “Fittings with inserts.
- Drip “tape” fittings are fed by a feeder line. The fittings depicted are from the Queen Gil brand, although there are a variety of other brands that have identical fittings for the same purpose.
- Punch tool used to pierce feeder lines during drip tube fitting installation. The punch is forced out of the tool by the button in the handle.
- With drip tape attached, a quarter-turn drip “tape” fitting is illustrated.
- Fertilizer injector has a venturi design that injects liquid nutrients into the irrigation stream. To avoid jams caused by fertilizer particles, make sure this is installed before the filter.
- Close-up of the hose bib to filter body adapter, showing the step-up fitting to accommodate the filter body threading.
- Sealing the 1″ lateral tube to the insert fittings using a standard stainless steel hose clamp
Winter Storage
At the end of the growth season, the flat tape employed in these systems is considered disposable….
Because of the low cost per foot of the tape and the chance that some damage or clogging has occurred…
…it is strongly advised that you do not use it for a second season. Find a new home for it or get rid of it.
Remove the filter assembly from the hose bibb and the lateral or feeder lines by unscrewing it….
Allow the filter and filter assembly to dry completely before storing it indoors for the winter….
Open all of the quarter turn valves and remove one of the end caps to save your laterals…
…feeder lines and related fittings. Raise the laterals, valves, and other fittings until all of the water…
…has been drained. Attach this component to a fence or garage wall with the open end at the lowest position…
…to store it. To avoid any freeze cracking from remaining water in the system, leave all valves fully open.
When you restart the system the following year, start by closing all of the valves…
…pressurizing the system, and inspecting it for leaks or cracks. After that, you’re good…
…to go for another season of easy irrigationsystem.
