- Step 1: Remove the oil dipstick from the engine by twisting it. The dipstick is situated on top and in the center of the snowblower engine.
- Step 2: Insert the dipstick into the dipstick hole and reinstall it. This is especially vital if this is your first time operating the snowblower since oil lubricates the engine. The engine will be harmed if you do not apply oil.
