A snow blower is a machine that is used to remove snow from a driveway, sidewalk, or other surface. It typically consists of a large fan on the front of a machine that blows snow up and out of the way. There are different types of snowblowers and they all do the same thing by different methods. The most common type of snow blower today is the one-stage single stage model. This type of snow blower has two basic parts: the primary unit and the auger.

The primary unit is where you put in your fuel (gasoline or diesel) and it will turn on when you press an ignition button located at the top of the unit. Most people use this part of the snow blower as the power source for the auger. The auger is what actually pushes the snow around. It uses a screw like device called an auger which turns and pulls the snow towards the back end of the machine.

How To Start Toro Single Stage Snow Blower?

  • Step 1: Remove the oil dipstick from the engine by twisting it. The dipstick is situated on top and in the center of the snowblower engine.
  • Step 2: Insert the dipstick into the dipstick hole and reinstall it. This is especially vital if this is your first time operating the snowblower since oil lubricates the engine. The engine will be harmed if you do not apply oil.
  • Step 3: Twist the gasoline cap and pull it from the tank to open the fuel tank. The gasoline tank is located on the engine’s upper rear right corner.
  • Step 4: Fill the fuel tank with gasoline. Allow roughly a half-inch of room in the gasoline tank.

Getting the Engine Going

1st step

Slide the throttle control lever to the “Fast” position. To the left of the starting rope is the throttle control knob.

2nd Step

To open the valve, turn the gasoline cutoff knob counterclockwise. If the valve is closed, no gasoline will enter the engine.

3rd Step

Set the choke to “Full” by twisting it. The choke is located on the engine’s hood, near to the spark plug.

4th step

In the keyhole to the left of the throttle lever, insert the ignition key. The ignition key is a child-protection mechanism that prevents youngsters from starting the snow thrower.

5th step

Three times, press the priming bulb to the right of the throttle lever. When pressing, cover the hole on the priming bulb. The priming bulb forces gasoline into the engine, allowing it to start.

6th step

Grip the starting rope handle and immediately pull it out. Rep this procedure till the engine starts.

7th step

When the engine starts, move the choke to the “3/4” position. Allow the engine to warm up before gradually turning the throttle to “1/2” and, finally, “Off.” You may now utilize your Toro snow thrower.
