What Plant Is Best In An Air-conditioned Room? (2021)

What plant is best in an air-conditioned room? By adding plants to your home, you can improve the air quality significantly! Several plants have recently been added to my bedroom to liven it up. In spite of having a garden, I think indoor plants make rooms more enchanting, brighter, and healthier.

Especially at night, I have air conditioning in my bedroom. During the day, I open my windows so the sunlight can shine in and to let fresh air in. However, what I have found is that not all plants can withstand air conditioning! The question is, why? There is a difference in humidity. There’s less moisture in the air. The temperature fluctuations are unavoidable (when the air conditioner is off).

What Plant Is Best In An Air-conditioned Room?

What plant is best in an air-conditioned room? I am not going to tell you one, but there are 7 of them! You have many plants to choose. Listed below are some plants that do well indoors in air-conditioned rooms:

1. Tillandsia

Air plants are extremely popular nowadays. You should water these twice a week, more if your air is very dry, and submerge them for an hour every week. Having them next to a window allows them to be bathed in bright filtered light for the best results.

2. Snake plant (Sanseveria Masoniana)

Snake plant is best in an air-conditioned room. Snake plants come in many different varieties, and the one here actually survived multiple months without watering, in low light. Furthermore, this plant can be grown in any environment.

3. Mother-in-Law’s Tongue (Sansiveria Trifasciata)

Snake plants of this variety are very popular. As long as they’re not overwatered, they’ll survive in medium to high light conditions. Because it survives even unsuitable conditions, it is suitable for those with no green thumbs. Don’t water the leaves (only the soil) more than twice a week.

4. Pothos

The Pothos are just hardy. Low light conditions are no problem, and they require little maintenance. Even if you consider yourself a plant killer, they will flourish. Furthermore, they can be propagated by cuttings. This plant has trailing leaves that are great for hanging or simply to grow on a bottle with water!

5. Peace Lily

One of the things I love about this is that it has flowers! Peace lilies are an exception to the rule when it comes to caring for flowering plants indoors. Even if it survives on less light, there will be fewer flowers, and who wants that?! The soil should be watered when dry, and the leaves should be misted at least twice a week.

6. ZZ plant Or Zanzibar

Beginners will enjoy caring for ZZ plants since they’re easy-to-grow. You need to wait until the soil dries out before watering them again since they need less water. Low levels of light are also no problem for them. These thrive so well outdoors. The ZZ plant, however, has broken several of my clay pots due to its rapid growth! In the case of outdoor planting, the plant needs to be planted directly to the ground. When grown indoors, it does well without destroying the pots.

7. Parlor Palm

Parlor palm is one of best in an air-conditioned room. It grows slowly to a maximum of three feet in low light (but not in no light). When the soil begins to dry between waterings, water sparingly. Ideally, the soil should be moist, but not dripping.

Those plants are the best in an air-conditioned room. Have decided to keep one? By adding plants to your home, you can improve the air quality significantly! In spite of having a garden, I think indoor plants make rooms more enchanting, brighter, and healthier.
